This process of shearing is done once a year and is mandatory, in order to make the summer periods of high temperatures easier for the sheep. The process itself takes place similar to cutting a man&#8217;s hair, and the sheep does not suffer any pain or get hurt. Merino sheep are widespread in Australia, New Zealand and South America.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">When we think of wool and products made from wool, we always associate them with the unpleasant feeling of scratching and irritation. However, merino wool is a soft, gentle and airy material, which when in contact with the skin leaves a feeling of pleasantness and comfort, which makes it finer and better than all other types of wool. The fibers of merino wool are half as thin as the fibers of ordinary wool, and therefore they are softer, finer and more sensitive, and precisely because of this, they are less irritating in contact with the skin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">There are different types of fineness of merino wool. The wool we use in making all our products comes from Australia, 19-o micron and belongs to the category of extra fine wool.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Compared to ordinary wool, merino wool has several advantages, but one of the most important is the ability to regulate temperature. Merino wool fibers are active and react to changes in body temperature. In addition to keeping you warm in the winter, merino wool will keep you cool in the summer. If you start to sweat, the merino wool fibers will pull the moisture away from your skin and absorb it. That moisture from the fibers will begin to evaporate, cooling the air between the skin and the woolen clothing or blanket, giving you a pleasant cooling sensation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Also, the presence of lanolin and keratin makes merino wool an antibacterial and hypoallergenic material, and items made of merino wool are, unlike synthetic materials, resistant to unpleasant odors caused by the presence of bacteria.
